Love Da Music Profile

Based in Singapore, Love Da Music (LDM) is the sub-division of its parent Love Da Records in Hong Kong. LDM is essentially a music distribution company in the Asian region, with exclusive rights to record labels like, Cooking Vinyl; Fat Cat; F Communication; PIAS; Studio !K7; Ninja Tune; The Perfect Kiss; Warp; Sanctuary; V2 and all its subsidiaries

Established in 1998, Love Da Records was founded by CEO Tommy Chan. Since its inception, Love Da Records’ primary focus remains rooted in providing quality music. They grew their impressive portfolio by establishing themselves as the exclusive distributor for many premier English and European dance labels. In that same year, Love Da Records was also the dance music consultant for BMG Asia Pacific (including Japan and Australia) - analyzing the Asian dance music market, as well as strategic planning and compiling dance music albums for the group.

In recent years, with the growing international opinion that smaller UK & US Independent labels will be leading the next big change in an ever changing and evolving music industry, Love Da widened its field by distributing labels such as Chemikal Underground; Drag City; Memphis Industries; Secretly Canadian; Touch & Go. Making these smaller labels more accessible to mass music retailers & consumers in Asia

To date, Love Da Records represents a total of over 150 individual labels around the world, covering a wide genre of popular music from indie to dance.

Since 2006, along with the establishment of its new Singapore office, Love Da Records continues to expand its music horizon to other parts of South East Asia. Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan and Philippines can now benefit from the wide selection of music labels exclusively offered by Love Da Records.

LDM is in charge of supplying local and regional music stores like HMV and Gramophone, among others. Apart from distribution, LDM also oversees marketing of its products through various channels and events.

At LDM, we believe music can help increase as well as inspire companies’ brand-building campaigns in many creative ways. In Hong Kong, Love Da Records has also established the reputation for its creativity and expertise in compiling and producing such concept albums.

With its strong heritage and growing presence in the region, LDM and Love Da Records are the undisputed leading indie and electronic dance music distributor in Asia.
