Retrochine

The producers of platinum selling CD "Shanghai Lounge Divas Vol.1" present the new album "Retrochine"

The story so far... Retrochine is the second Schtung Music release celebrating Chinese pop music from a bygone era with a 21st Century twist. The first was ‘Pathe 100 – The Shanghai Divas Redefined (Vol. I)’ released in 2003.

Producers Ian Widgery and Morton Wilson have reunited to partner with Celestial Pictures Ltd. in paying tribute to soundtracks from Shaw Brothers movies shot in Hong Kong during the late 50s and early 60s.

Retrochine - Go Go!

Mongrel

Mongrel is a supergroup formed in 2008, with a dream team line up featuring Jon McClure & Joe Moskow (Reverend and the Makers), Matt Helders (Arctic Monkeys), Andy Nicholson (Ex Arctic Monkeys), Drew McConnell (Babyshambles) and UK Hip Hop artist Lowkey.



The debut album is produced by Adrian Sherwood. The content of their music is quite political, with the majority of their songs having lyrcs which challenege government issues.
